COVID-19

Dear Students, Parents and Caregivers,

To ensure student and staff health, and training delivery continuation during the Covid-19 pandemic, JSW has implemented the following measures:

  • A compulsory Covid sign in station at the entrance of the Training site.
  • Mask wearing – in line with the mask mandate currently in place for the South-West, masks will be worn by staff, visitors, and all students at JSW. Where possible, students are asked to wear their own masks to class. However, in the event of a broken or lost mask, disposable masks will be available.
  • Sanitiser- Sanitation stations will be set up in all classrooms and offices.
  • Covid Testing- It is essential to the health of our JSW Training venue that students, staff and care givers monitor the Healthy WA website so that if you have visited a known Covid site you are tested and isolate as required. The address for this is www.healthywa.wa.gov.au/COVID19locations
  • Illness- Students, staff and care givers are required to stay home if they are feeling unwell. If a student does come to JSW Training site with flu like symptoms or feeling unwell, they will be sent home as per state government guidelines.
  • Vaccination- All staff at JSW have adhered to the State Govt mandate of vaccination by 31st December 2021 and the booster within one month of becoming eligible.
  • Enhanced cleaning services – increased frequency of cleaning of high-touch surfaces and equipment including doorhandles and desks in classrooms will be conducted.
  • Ventilation within the Training site – JSW is in the process of assessing the ventilation systems within classrooms at the Training site.
