JSW Fees Disclaimer

About the fees published on our website

The fees published on our website are for full-time students enrolled in complete courses in 2023.

All JSW course fees and charges are set by the VET Fees and Charges Policy. and may vary according to specific services and resource fees attached for individual units.

Reasons why your fees may vary

  • Some units (primarily elective units) need more expensive resources to train you in line with industry requirements
  • Your previous experience and/or qualifications have been assessed, and you are entitled to credit transfers for comparable units obtained elsewhere
    NOTE: Credit transfers are free.
  • You’ve been assessed as eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), i.e., credit for skills and knowledge gained through training, paid employment, voluntary positions, and general life experience.
NOTE: RPL assessments cost $190 per unit.
  • As a current concession card holder, you’re entitled to reduced fees.

2023 Fees for school-aged students not currently attending school

If you were born on or after 1 July 2005 (aged over fifteen), you’ll pay a maximum course fee of $420 per year.

NOTE: You may still need to pay a materials (or resource) fee to cover books or essential tools and equipment for your studies.

Options for paying your fees

You have the option to pay your fees in instalments. JSW will invoice you as you complete your units. You can also apply for assistance if you are living in financial hardship.
