Since joining our NDIS School Leaver Employment Support program in March 2023, Mason’s journey has been outstanding. Engaging in our comprehensive work readiness program, which encompasses career exploration, resume development, interview training, and mock interviews, he quickly identified his passion for outdoor machinery operation. With skill development and career clarity, his support worker helped him to connect to the Yaka Dandjoo program – a 6 week initiative aimed at advancing employment in infrastructure. Throughout, JSW’s NDIS team provided a helping hand, from transport assistance, attending training until he gained independence, to mentorship and fostering encouragement every step of the way.
Mason’s achievement of the white card and roller certificate not only increase his employment prospects but also demonstrate personal growth and newfound confidence.
