Melinda Stephens, Career Development Officer, Manjimup
With a background in visual art and business, I combine creative and practical skills from both sectors to support my clients in finding sustainable and fulfilling employment.
An inclusive, welcoming workplace culture in our Jobs and Skills Centres puts clients at ease. It sets the scene for working together to uncover strengths and break down barriers that stand between people and their career or educational opportunities.
I mentor job seekers of all ages and backgrounds and have specialised in supporting young people aged 15 – 24 to set achievable goals and work purposefully towards them.
If you feel unsure or discouraged by job searching, resume writing, applying, interviews, study or just can’t figure out what you want to do, I work with you to get all that done and dusted.
Outside of work, you’ll find me making and teaching art, hanging out at my gallery Ampersand Artist Initiative in Bridgetown, or working towards the next Blackwood River Arts Trail on the committee.
