JSW’s Thrive students at the Mandurah Training Centre, as part of their Certificate II in Leadership, have created a community event planned and executed by themselves. After brainstorming worthy causes the group unanimously created a plan to “give back” to the community and support people in the Mandurah area who are either living rough or are in fact homeless. This is quite a local issue and we are so proud that the students have come up with this idea!
Students have tie-dyed some donated fabric, sewed it into small bags and filled the bags with essential hygiene or care products which will be given to people as they visit on the day for the free sausage sizzle.
